Description

A super fun game, with awesome TI-BASIC graphics, including a rendition of Google Docs and Sublime Text! Can you finish your essay while being distracted by the shiny Sublime Text editor and upgrades screen? Uses no picture variables, only a single program. Includes a highscores table. This is a fun little diversion for a while, what better way to procrastinate on a real essay than by playing Procrastinate! and procrastinating on a fake one.

The graphics are great- but it also means switching screens can take up to a full MINUTE as the game remembers all the little dots you placed in sublime text/google docs and redraws them one by one. Sure it looks nice, but there's got to be a faster way to get the same idea across. (Storing and recalling a picvar of the two screens would be acceptable imo for the massive speed increase)

I ended up putting the game down before I really was able to buy more than one or two of the strangely expensive upgrades at the shop. My in-game boredom meter may have been low in game, but I can't say the same for my real-life one.

Jokes aside, 8.4/10. I dig the visual techniques.

I thought this game was pretty good! **PROS: *The graphics were incredible for a game written in pure BASIC! *The code is incredibly well optimized, so the speed is much better than expected! *The gameplay is simple, you just click enter a bunch of times, BUT it's fun because of the upgrades (and how true it is to real life)! *I like how the score doesn't increase when you're doing just the essay, it only increases when you're doing programming 0x5. **CONS: *The upgrade names are quite amusing but are very expensive! Some balancing may need to be done there. (I won’t count off for that though) *The only big issue I have with this program is the bugs, this contains a few bugs that make playing the game slightly annoying. At some point when I was nearing the end of the game, I encountered a Domain error (EDIT: turns out I clicked within a 300ms window where I could get this error, you probably wont), and when I tried to buy an upgrade (after I had bought the max amount) it got stuck in an infinite loop and I was forced to [on] quit. Therefore, I have not been able to fully complete the game. This program also has no Cesium icon. **CONCLUSION: Although there are some bugs, I really enjoyed playing it! I definitely think it's worth a download. [9/10]
