I've recently finished a useful program (it allows you to create art on the calculator using the graphing function) and I'm looking for some constructive criticism. You can find the program at http://fusilladestudios.x10.mx. By the way, If any of you can think of a better name for my company (right now it is Fusillade Studios) I need to change it. this name was temporary as the name I had previously selected was already taken, and I needed to change it. Thanks! Smile
Oh! I strongly suggest you read the Readme file! It contains some useful information! (I know its long. Half of it just tells you not to unarchive stuff Very Happy )

Would you mind posting a direct link to the program, as well as a screenshot or three? Smile Once you do so, I'll rename this topic to the title of the project, because it's a given that any criticism Cemetechians will give will be constructive. Wink
Sure, sorry, Kerm

Looks pretty cool, thanks for sharing! If they're .gif, .png, or .jpg images, you can embed them in your posts inside [img] tags.
Yup.
I tried that. they're .jpg, but the images are on my computer. How would I attach them? (i know im a noob. that's why I'm only at advanced newbie.)
You would right click the images, and choose Copy Image URL (or similar, depending on your browser). Then, paste that url into the [img] tag.
I would except that they are saved on my computer. (as stated above)

Use an image uploading site like http://tinypic.com or http://imageshack.us . Smile
Just browse to the page that your images are saved on (http://web.me.com/twodomers/images/home.html), and do what I said.
Thanks, Kerm!

Looks great! Out of curiosity, have you taken a look at the myriad of other drawing and art programs out there for the calculators and tried to find some features that distinguish your program from all the others? Or is it more a fun project for you? Also, edited your first post with those screenshots.
I have an idea for a feature, if this were a ASM program: grayscale drawing. You could store each image as two pics (one for full black/full white, and one for the other two levels of grayscale.)

That would be a great idea! It can't be done (well) with pure BASIC, but assuming that he's using Doors CS 7, the hybrid BASIC routines easily enable that sort of thing.
I do use Doors CS7. This project was actually started off from the inspiration of Kerm's game: World Domination. It got me thinking about what I could do with the "Input" function, so 5 weeks and more than a few lazily done homework assignments later, I finished it. I have looked at other programs, just to see where I stand, and I think I'm going to upgrade it with some new ideas like filling shapes. The only problem with your idea, DShiznit, is that I wanted my program to work functionally, but not be some 8,000 bytes or something outrageous like that (which is what all of the good drawing programs seem to be). The program is supposed to be small, and not use up all your pictures so that only that program will work. Greyscale is a good idea though...

Kerm: What hybrid basic routines?

Now that school is finished, I can work on it more in depth. We'll see. Cool
The third-party xLIB, Celtic III, picArc, etc routines:

And Doors CS's own DCSB Libs:
