Using expanded screen on fx-CG500?

Is it possible to expand a screen programatically? I'd like to avoid having to pause a program and make the user do it manually. Also, once a screen is expanded, how do you access it? I get conflicting x,y values. I get x=1-320 and y=1-528 with GetPen but if I try drawing a line the coordinates are different and if I try to use PxlOn, I get Domain error. Is there a tutorial on 400.500 graphics somewhere?
