Thank you! I'm not sure I understand exactly what you're asking, but the receiver does stay firmly in place when you close everything up, it doesn't move around at all!

TI did a pretty poor job documenting their changes on OS 5.6.0 and OS 5.5.2; I've done it for them. There's even a nice chart on whether you should update or not!

Some of you may have heard me mention yesterday that my 'How to fix errors when sending file to your calculator' video was flagged as having 'inappropriate content' and got taken down.
After ranting about how useless the notification was since I didn't know what part was considered 'inappropriate', I sent an appeal and within the hour I got a reply that the video was reinstated! 😁

A record company copyrighted a song in my old 'send gameboy games to your calculator' video. The annoying part is the song didn't use to be copyrighted. I tried removing just the song, but it destroyed the voiceover as well. This meant I needed to make a completely new one! Thankfully this didn't take too long to make!

Normally I'd say using any of my music in calculator videos is ok, but since I distributed it on Youtube Music I am worried that your videos would get content ID and end up losing you monetization. I guess eventually someone could try with one video just to see what happens but it would suck if the video got popular but couldn't be monetized by its author.

I decided to post again because I crossed 5,000 subscribers and I fulfilled my first sponsorship opportunity! I figured I'd post about my experience.
I got an email from Flexispot back in November. For some reason they perform official business over a name.flexispot@gmail.com email address which immediately looks suspicious. I contacted Flexispot directly and they confirmed the email was legitimate. My contact said they'd like to send me a standing desk, provided some funds information, and asked what video ideas I had. I provided a few ideas and they settled on trying to control the desk using a calculator.
They sent over an agreement I can't share details of, but the first draft was very much tuned in the company's favor. Thankfully my contact was very easy to work with and after several back-and-forths I was able to sign an agreement I was pretty happy with. I'm pretty sure my contact is overseas since I typically get responses around midnight so each adjustment took a day.
The resources in the Partnered YouTube discord are extremely helpful for suggesting a rate for me to charge. I definitely undersold myself since the project took far more effort than I expected, but I have that knowledge for next time! I gave myself 4 weeks to work but the project was so finicky I still ended up working nearly non-stop the last 4 days to get it out in time!
Overall my contact at Flexispot was pretty easy to work with so I'd be interested in working with them again if this video goes well. I've heard they can be a bit spammy with followup collaborations but that remains to be seen.
