Since Kerm is a lock-nazi again (I thought I convinced you to stop locking topics a year or two ago? Do I need to train you to not do that crap again?), I'm just starting a new thread in response to this: http://www.cemetech.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6738&highlight=

Firefox users, start from 0. Chrome users, start from 1.

0) install https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/scriptish/

1) http://kllrnohj.com/userscripts/strip_sig.user.js

2) Enjoy not having to look at Kerm's massively redundant signature with 3 userbars about DCS (on a slightly serious note - do you really need 3 userbars about the same thing?)

I was going to make that same point, but felt it was kinda d!ckish after having it pointed out to me that the sig doesn't even extend beyond the user data on shorter posts.

Nice script though.

All the points I would have been made, have been made. Mostly by elfprince, Qazz & Sorunome have far longer signatures than KermM.

As per the extremist filter. 0x5-what? Let's let bygones be bygones.

There are better means of communication for different situations, so lets utilize those channels appropriately. To end off the post, I'm publicly announcing that I'm locking this topic. It's purpose has been served and for the sake of keeping things on topic, it's being locked. If you have any retaliations about the locking of the topic bring it up with myself or another global moderator/administrator.

Please feel free to, oh you know, read the entire topic and see who actually locked the it.

^This. Although I seconded it. And Comic specifically said that you were welcome to go through proper channels (read: PM, IRC, email) if you were angry with/disagreed with our locking decision. Getting into a flamewar was hardly the point of this topic, though, so nifty little tool, and thanks for sharing.

My logic re: the userbars: if I remove the big DCS7 one (which during times of active Doors CS development counts down to major releases), then the SimmsAI one will still be taking up the same vertical space. If instead I remove the DCS6 and DCS7 bars, then people might not know where to get those userbars for their own signatures. And of course people need to be able to click on my ticalc.org userbar, so remove the slightly-obvious Cemetech userbar wouldn't help anything.
You could, if you were so inclined, remove the DCS6 (which is outdated) and Cemetech (which is unnecessary) userbars to reduce the count to only 4.
Perhaps this isn't the most elegant idea, but why not add the equivalent of the [spoiler] BBCode tag seen on omnimaga to is site's usable BBCode tags? Many annoying signatures there are subsequently hidden in them after users fill up their sigs *so large* (most of those in question take 60% of my computer screen, and 80% of my iPad screen -- as opposed to Kerm's, which is well below 10%. These guys have well over *100* user bars and long descriptive paragraphs about their life story -- no joke) and after they are hidden, people can still look at them once and say "cool!" and then just see a little close box with a button saying "see spoiler for...".

IMHO, I really like Kerm's signature. I find it to be medium-small, stylish, and not too flashy. It's not really a big subject to b!tch about. I say keep it Kerm. And I hope you will Smile
FWIW the userscript works fine in Opera, so Opera users start at step 1 too.

Not if you enter your author number in your profile.

comicIDIOT may have been the one that actually clicked the "lock" button, but only because he is a massive suck up trying his hardest to be a mini-Kerm.

@comicIDIOT: Grow some balls and stop locking topics just because you personally don't like them. A topic's purpose is never served, and unless it gets ugly (and that topic was still far from ugly), a topic should remain open until the end of time - or kerm runs out of money for the server, either one.

Correct, it was supposed to read very tongue-in-cheek, hence why I picked on you Smile (instead of the people that actually have huge and annoying signatures)

I'm pretty sure from the orientation of that image that he is driving a British car and not the driver.

It would be just as entertaining whether he's controlling the vehicle or not.

I am disappoint. That is certainly not a British car. You should go watch the movie.

Why is he driving down the left side of the road?

It's been a while since I've seen the movie, but either

A) He isn't, and that's the right side (fancy median)
B) He isn't, and that's a one way street
C) 'Cause he's a boss and feels like it

Have you seriously not seen Ace Ventura btw?
Off-topic. Bad. Fix it or stop posting here.
But it's his thread?
