Hw3 patch help needed

Ok guys, if someone could help me out here it would be great, I have a ti 89 titanium with hardware version 4.00 and os version 3.10, and whenever I try to use hw3 patch to download games as good ones require it, it says hardware version not supported:( can Simone please tell me how to fix this, I've tried everything but I'm running out of hope, please help me as I really want to play doom!!!
