So how did you get the source code to make the OSX port? Has it really been that long since you started?

I emailed him right after I first found BasicBuilder (about 10 months ago). we agreed on the conditions and he sent me the source to the backend and a sample command-line interface for it.

I really didn't know any python at the time, so even though I got it working on my comp, I didn't want to release yet.

Then after I started on gCn, I realised I now knew Python, and went back and started working on it again.

strangely enough, BasicBuilder 1.0 was released for both BeOS and Windows, but the BeOS version was never upgraded to 2.0.


does your server support Python?

Not that I know of; I would probably teach myself Python and port it to PHP. Then I'd have to make myself a compiler in PHP, but that would be good because I've been meaning to do that anyway.
