Yeah, me too. I've found that the amount of RAM it's losing is roughly equal to the size of ZDCS.
That seems about right...
So, the question to be solved is why is this happening. What did those tests you mentioned reveal?
That whatever is causing DCS to cause a major memory leak happens within the first few lines of code in Pokemon...
Hmmm. And the only thing that happens in those first few lines is variable setup and the title screen.
