Here are the most commonly refferenced and effective ways i've found to deal with ti connect problems.

search "ti connect" on the ti.com knowledge base (support)
-http://epsstore.ti.com/OA_HTML/cskmbasicsrch.jsp
---they recommend garbage collecting (in calc, 2nd+0+tan+enter+enter+2)
---uninstall and redownload ti connect

-----If device isn't found just unplug and replug cable and press refresh
---obv to download and upload stuff of calc u drag and drop or use the action tab

Weird fixes i've heard about but i didn't need:
-restart computer
-turn off internet connection
