Thanks! Smile

I've been modding the MOB skins too, slowly. Gave Zombies a single-red-eye variant of the "realistic miner" skin because, let's face it, Zombies aren't G-rated Jolly Green Not-Giants. Zombies are bloody messes of were-humans (that's 'were' as in a tense of 'was', not 'were' as in 'werewolf'). Creepers were given a lighter complex and a flame-colored face.

Nice, now lets see a tame creeper with a happy smile that follows you. :p
Some progress from Evocatus!

Finished views of the Hypnos Bridge, including arch support bracing:

A spur from the Great Elysian Highway that leads into Arcadia, our home town:

Tons of progress on the Moirae Bridge, a three-tower, two-arch, 160-cube-span monstrosity:

*whistle* nice job, Kerm et al.

Here's a collage of my world's houses and the tree farm:

Larger size [imgur link, not a fan of imgur for forum posts but I fail at photobucket heh]

I really do enjoy the painterly pack, heh. I might have to modify the water too.
Those look great, and that's a great texture pack. I wish there was a way to hack a longer fog distance for screenshots. Sad
Well, I'm on Normal distance. I could swap to Far for screenies, but Far doesn't work nicely on my computer (MC will frequently crash, presumably a Java or driver issue).

Also, my chickens are now ducks, my pumpkins are now watermelons, the moon is round and full, and the sun is round with a "pulsar" ring. Razz

Oh, and my world has a storyline to it too:
Quote:
Three months ago, it happened. The apocalypse... the rapture.. whatever you want to call it. Point is, three months ago, a bizarre ring formed around the sun and almost all life on Earth vanished. Nine-tenths of the human race and ninety-nine-one-hundredths of the animal races were gone without a trace.

And then they appeared. Monsters. They stalk us in the dead of night. They harm us and destroy what we build. They strike fear in our hearts and add undue stress to our minds. Yet, that is life for us.

Every day is spent the same: we build, we explore, we fight. There's no end until we gasp our last breaths. But, that is far from near. We shall persist ever on, even through our own twilight.

Welcome to our world.

It's kind of a mix between I Am Legend and the extraordinary sci-fi manga Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou. Perhaps eventually I'll make the world available for download so people can have fun with it Razz

I'm going to stop you right there, and say that I, or someone, needs to build Stonehenge.

It's not even related, but that made me think of Stonehenge.
Heehee, I actually thought about building a Stonehenge type structure and now that you mention it yourself, I think I will Smile

Now if only I can make it play ominous music when you observe it Razz

Make some note boxes and place red stone switches all the way around. When someone walks over to observe, the notes start playing. When the walk away they stop Very Happy
Heh, I suppose I could do that but I was never particularly good at note boxes or red stone circuitry.

At the moment I'm constructing a greenhouse for wheat and will construct another, smaller one for sugar cane.

I'm tempted to recreate Café Alpha (from Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou) somewhere in my world too.
Giant updated map of the Great Elysian Highway system in Evocat.us! I would love everyone's help in bringing it to all corners of the map and convincing the admin to protect it, if you're so inclined.

Big awesome map:

Going the other direction now are we? Very nice!

I can't, quite figure out what the little off-set path is between 1 & 3.
Also, is Tesseract the default spawn?

I will help as much as I can, though I seem to be more of an adventurous person, I can be the one getting you all the raw materials. Very Happy

No, the default is I believe North East from Tesseract, you know when you find it as it is mostly a glass block with a skull on the front of the place.
Tesseract is about x,z=400,400, while spawn is at x,z=0,0. Arcadia, our hometown, is near x,z=600,300.
WIP greenhouse on the housing island. Once I have enough resources I will be building a second one and using it solely for sugarcane, allowing the current one to be used for wheat only.

They're purposely not large capacity because the island archipelago is intended to be a low population area.

A much, much larger city will be built some-direction-ward away and will have a very large greenhouse structure to support itself and its intended larger population.

[1] : Tree Farm
[2] : Currently built housing area
[3] : Southerland Bridge

I have plans to potentially make the North-west (bottom-left) land the mainland.

Southerland, the land connected to the housing island via bridge, will be a small town and mostly unbuilt land.
Looking great, map and greenhouse-wise; thanks for sharing! I dug myself a ridiculous 6-story house, except that it starts with a double floor at the top with pine trees, then works its way down, with a massive, 92,000-item capacity chest room in the bottom. I'll try to post pix soon; doing a mining run atm.
Decided to build a temple on the south side of Southerland Bridge. Have one of the pathway arches built so far.

That looks great! But why is your fog distance so low? Sad At least raise it for screenshots if you need it low for graphics card reasons. Wink
So low? It's on normal! Far makes things crash!

Yeesh, it's not like you're missing anything. The other side of the bridge is just stuff you've already seen >_>

*grumble grumble*

Working on the center bit of the temple. The main tree still needs branch work done on its top. Need to surround the area with stone tiling too.
