Wands are simply Ancient technology that can alter matter on an atomic level. Users that have "wizard blood" actually carry the "ATA" gene. Responds to motion, vocal, and mental commands.

Nope, can you point to some relevant Wikipedia articles or other documentation that have background information on what you're talking about? Also, how do fundamental changes on the atomic level explain force-based spells, such as levitation (Wingardium Leviosa) or fetching (Accio thing)?

Wasn't that actually quoted in an episode of SG-1?

Well, tranformation of matter could be used to stimulate pain nerves via proper chemical reaction triggering, so I'd believe that that one would actually work. Also, Tari++ for his comment.

The hand device (kara kesh):
But since the theme of all three movies and all 10 seasons of SG-1 (with the exception of a handful of replicator episodes) is what it means for someone/something to be a god (and worthy of worship), and the abuse of technology/science in pretending to have supernatural powers it shouldn't be at all surprising that there are some quick parallels to fantasy worlds involving supernatural powers. A much more interesting comparison would be a comparison of the politics between the Tau'ri and the other humans of the Milky Way to the Dúnedain and the people of Middle-Earth immediately after the Akallabêth, or something along those lines.
