I found Cemetech through http://unitedti.org/forum/ when i found UTI through www.ticalc.org when i was 8th or 9th grade. I found Cemetech and Omnimaga around the same time, although im not really active on any forums now. I mainly lurk around the IRC channels.

Edit:
I never really did code at all beyond a few very crude BASIC math programs to help with homework, lol. I joined mainly because of Kerm's calc mods and SIMMS.

@DJ: A similar story for me. I started programming in sixth (TI-82) and seventh (TI-83) grades, but didn't start posting on ticalc.org until my Freshman year of high school.

I started programming in sixth (Java), but didn't get my calculator until after I saw it in pop. sci. in 9th grade and knew I had to get the one with USB.

ah, the good old days of #sfgp on the UnitedTI irc server?
@rcfreak0, that's a shame, we miss you here. Sad
@Elfprince: Well, I started LOGO in 1st grade, QBASIC in 4th grade, and x86 ASM in seventh grade, for what it's worth. Wink

And when your schoolwork lets up a bit, I presume? Although come to think of it you weren't too active over the summer either

Yes, schoolwork too. And yeah i wasnt too active, summers are pretty busy for me sometime. Plus i might be getting a 2d job (3d if you count my twice a week yardwork job) so my activity might drop more... :/
I found Cemetech through omni, which I found through ticalc.org.
I believe I had issues with z80 programming so I sent Kerm and email after seeing a news article on ticalc.org for sourcecoder. And Kerm told me to join and post my question and so I have been here ever since. And here is a link to my very first post/topic so if you guys think you came here as a nub read it for a good laugh.

Aww, that's was a long time ago! A three-digit topic ID, in fact. You weren't the end of the world; the worst you said was "well i have already emailed him with the problem and he said to post problem here so hopefully he can help me because i whish to program in basic so bad.". Smile

@souvik, Ah, makes sense; via a specific project?

@Rcfreak0: Eek, good luck with the time management Sad
No I think the worst thing I said was where can I download another Dos prompt Laughing

Ah, I was thinking in terms of new grammar. I'm surprised that Kllrnohj was as relatively patient as he was with you there; he must have been in a good mood. Smile
I was visitor #2.
@Kerm: No, it was because I wanted to be more active in the calculator community.

aww... nohj was so nice back then.

i visited ticalc.org for the first time back in january of last year(after about a year of teaching myself 83+ BASIC before then). at some point after that, i discovered desolate and ended up at maxcoderz. i was inactive around there for a few weeks before being referred via(i think) a mention of some sort from benryves(that will have been a year ago in 16 days time).
I found cemetech because I play The Orange Block (The Better Mod)

Nice, that's a good story. Smile We're happy to have you here.

@Nikky: Weren't you visitor #0?

@rcfreak0, indeed. Smile
I joined because of DCS. At least, I think that was why... If it was, it was because of the link to Cemetech hiding in DCS. It also could very well have been some link to Cemetech on TI Calc, where I hang out for... a long time Razz Trying out everything on there, and following all the TI Basic tutorials I could find. I was eventually told to get on Omnimaga to announce about my project because everyone here was commenting on my grammar, spelling, and lack of knowing how to JFGI.

Edit: Haha, look! It's my 777th post! Very Happy
Cemetech is a TI forum that's not blocked at my school. And it's actually friendly and active.
I found omni first b/c of the Axe Parser feature on ticalc back in June.
Once I figured out it was blocked, I set out to find another forum.
And found Cemetech.

That's odd, that sounds suspiciously like advertising; seems like I might get censured if I did anything even remotely like that elsewhere. Razz

@Darl181: Glad to hear that you experience us that way! Smile We enjoy having you here, and it's nice that you're interested in both the software and hardware side of things.
