Thanks for the response. I am indeed intimately familiar with the TI
SmartView software and with the 2.53MP OS. Indeed, as a z80 assembly coder,
I have had the misfortune of having to code a variety of workarounds for
bugs introduced in 2.53MP (and of course 2.54MP for the Nspire) that were
not present in earlier OS versions such as 2.41. I was wondering if and
when you have plans to fix these bugs, or if you indeed have any plans to
continue development on the z80 family's OS beyond 2.53MP/2.54MP. The
following are two concrete issues that I and the community have identified:

1) As per the website of my colleague, Brandon Wilson, "there's a bug in
TI's parser code which they introduced when trying to refactor all the code
that sets 0,(iy+7). After calling the parser hook with A=1, if the parsing
operation is canceled by the hook, then the OS incorrectly sets 0,(iy+7)
when it should be setting 0,(iy+6). This causes problems all over the
place." I have personally had to deal with this bug when creating my own
Parser hook, and presumably any official TI application that uses a Parser
hook would run into the same problems
2) The "MenuCurrent" RAM area (85DEh) contains values that are incorrect
when compared with previous OS versions. Specifically, the values are off
by one in most cases. For example, mGarbageCollect is $40 instead of $3F,
and mGroupVars is $2A instead of $29.

Thanks in advance for any insight you may be able to shed into possible
fixes or a timeframe therefore.

I personally have not ever come across those errors that you mentioned, but I have forwarded the information to the development team. I will await a response from them at this point.
