remember how a while back before TI updated their website they had some TI calc wallpapers for computers?
education.ti.com
i like some of them... especially the coolmath one...
i checked there yesterday because i lost my copy of the coolmath wallpaper and i have dont have the widescreen version... AND I CAN'T FIND ANY OF THEIR EXISTANCE!
so i was wondering if anyone here have copies of those wallpapers saved up, or something... or perhaps i just could find it...
anhy idea what happened to those pages?
I was not aware TI had such stuff. I heard they redesigned some parts of their website recently, though.
Maybe they got rid of them? I hope they did not do the same with OS 1.7 too, but that would be off-topic...
Ah yes, I remember those backgrounds. Did you check archive.org to see if they have a cache of them?
As Kerm pointed out, when a site goes down
web.archive.org is the place to go to look for it. I'm not exactly sure which wallpapers you're referring to, but
here are some.
Edit: How bizarre.
That page still exists, but has a redirect to a new page which doesn't list the wallpapers. Disable automatic redirection in your browser and it still works.
Now if only archive.org cached everything visible through Google...
I would have loved to browse the old MaxCoderz board from there
Hopefully it has the wallpapers WhiteValkery is looking for.
ahh... yes!
thanks.. that did the trick
i gttg right now because i have class.... but thanks a lot!

Awesome, glad we were able to help.
Using web.archive.org is a good tool for when you're looking for things like this; although Google maintains short-term page caches of page text, they still pull images from the true host, so this wouldn't help for that.
Somewhat amusingly, pulling up an archived copy of Cemetech from 2004 has "CALCnet² Whitepaper Release" as the lead news item.

Haha, that it did. CALCnet2 was an interesting design, with dynamic addresses and a concept of a network master device, but I was never able to implement it properly, so I switched to a peered relationship for CALCnet 2.2.
