It does indeed need to be ::DCS6 for a 16x16 icon, although I can't imagine why that would make this garbled thing happen. EpicFail, would you mind doing the test I suggested?

Yeah, the garbled thing happened to me, too. Also, the link where I learned this for anybody who wants to know is: http://dcs.cemetech.net/index.php?title=BASIC_Header#16x16_Icon.
Just FYI. Laughing

But it happened to you with ::DCS instead of ::DCS6 though, right? And it displayed the right thing if the first 16 characters were the actual 8x8 icon?

Yes, and I believe so.
OK, that's good to hear. I'm still mystified about the scrolling thing, though. Sad

Qazz, ThePenguin, everyone else who had the Folder corruption bug thing:

Ok Kerm, testing complete, and now I am mystified as well.
After testing many combinations with no luck of recurring, I think we should just drop the bug, we won't ever see it again.

I tried:
DCS with 16x16 icon on page 4
DCS6 with icon on page 4
DCS with icon in folder number 4
DCS6 with icon in folder 4
DCS with icon in folder 4 in program that started the bug
Same as above but with DCS6

With no reproduction! Drop it?
I vote drop it! Would you mind downloading that link I just posted and putting it through a few quick paces? That hopefully fixes the cut/paste issue.

Yeah sure, I'll see if it meets my standards.

Cheers, if it meets your standards, then I say it meets my standards too. Wink (And if it meets Braden's standards, it definitely meets mine)

That's weird. I sent it to my TI-84+ with no problems at all.

Yeah, it sent to my hacked up, messed up, usually nontransferable calc in one try.

Yay! And that's pretty fail about the cable not being connected. Wink Thus far my testing of DCS 7 RC 2.1 on my TI-84+ has turned up no bugs whatsoever. This might be the gold one, guys!
I am cross-posting this from Omnimaga in case it gets missed, but as I was experimenting with a TI-OS glitch found by Jsj795 (see http://ourl.ca/4593 ), I discovered this bug was also present in your DCS BASIC editor. Below, you can find the screenshot of it in action at one point in the screenshot. It has to do with recalling strings containing 2 byte tokens.

This is not really a Doors bug, more a TI-OS bug, but I was wondering if you would be able to fix it in DCS BASIC editor?

There's not really too much I'd be able to do about that unless I somehow came up with a way to intercept Rcl's from the editor. Sad Sorry, DJ; thanks anyway! Smile
ook, DCS hates TI-OS menus

1. make a prgm using the menu command

2. while on the menu, break the a thing

3. select goto

4. press the down arrow so you are scrolling down, eventually after about five presses, RAM clear

this is assuming you execute it from the parser hook

Very nice, good find, and good timing too! I replicated it, I bet it's an easy fix.
ty ty, I try my best Smile

I happened across it while doing some TI-MAIL stuff, what do you think is the problem?

and when is DCS7 scheduled for a release?
we finally pretty much finished this Smile
