That is what I did, and let's just say it wasn't pretty.
On the note of from scratch, I could learn DCS GUI Libs faster then I could get one of those looking good, if you know what I mean.

So I refuse to let this topic get "outdated" more then a couple days, as this is going to be amazing as soon as we get those sprites moving.

I'm going to head to lunch now, so maybe I'll do another two while I eat. If so, I'll edit this post with them.
I wouldn't worry yourself too much Kerm, you have a busy schedule for the next few days. I will see about using what is there to at least properly set things up.

This begs the question though, should I go through and just remove the 16x16 sprites used for dialogs or just leave them and just use these for the battle screen?

It would probably make things look nicer if I did the larger instead of the smaller for the dialogs, however I would have to go back through a lot of code to repair all that. Decisions, decisions..
I feel like you should probably put that off for now, tifreak8x, and you can always go back and make that change later. Smile

In all honesty, if you have a 16x16 sprite for each of those npc's, I think that is a good idea, especially considering the size of the screen I think that will look better.

But that is my opinion, and not my game, so in the end, you choice is what counts.


Also, if you don't have all the overworld sprites, but want to use those instead, I could have those in black and white in a couple hours max, so let me know if you need/want those.

If you sent me what you have, and tell me how to disable the battles, I can start working on maps for you, in fact I insist if that is posible.
It simply would be too much work in the wrong direction for me to do that. I spent a lot of time getting the events system locked in there, which it still needs upgrading. Maps were going to be built on a play as I go basis.

Awww, well as soon as the battle system is set up, I want to start at the end of the game and work my way back, if there is a way I can "modify" my party.
