Mm. I've got the first 120 digits memorized, my ultimate goal is 314.

The first 120! Wow. You have some sort of song to remember them all?
I need to get one of those shirts... Happy Pi Day, everyone!

I think so, happy pi day! I know by heart: 3.1415926535897932384626433832795028841971693993 but i knew once 71, got boured by memorizing them and forgot some.
Happy Pi Day to everyone! Let's see what I still have memorized:
3.14159265358979323846264338327950288419716939937510582
3.14159265358979323846264338327950288419716939937510582
From memory (and yes, you'll just have to trust me on this ).
3.14159265358979323846264338327950288419716939937510582097494459230781640286208998
I used to have the first 200 digits memorized, but that was over a year ago and that's all I remember now.
*EDIT* Took out the random "6" in between the 2 bold numbers; typing it on the keyboard instead of speaking it produced an error.

How in the H*** could you memorize all that?! i have trouble memorizing the first 10 or so. I can remember the first 5, but thats as far as i go. 3.141592653589793238462643383279502884197169399375105820974944592307681640286208998

Don't know. I just look at it a couple times, say it a couple times with looking, a couple times without looking, and then say the whole thing (up to there) a couple times without looking.
In my head I have developed a sort of "rhythm" to some of the number patterns, which I think are what helped me remember that much (after that point I didn't have any overall "pattern"/"rhythm", so it didn't stick ).
Ooh, looks like I've finally got someone I personally know who I can "compete" with. *dashes off to re-memorize to 200 digits*

Who needs more than 3.14159? It's greater accuracy than 3.14 but doesn't get into the 'tedium' levels of writing/typing.

I memorized it in groups, so after 8979 I think "846, 264, 3383279, 50288, 41971, 69399, 375, 10582..."

I did something similar to this. I tried to break it up into 10-digit strings and then memorized each of those, then simply memorized them in order. However, the first 50 or so are in a random pattern because I hadn't locked down how I would do it until after I learned them.
I feel ashamed that I forgot from 81-200, so now I plan on memorizing 1000 to make up for it.

You're insane O_O
I wish I had even the slightest aptitude for memorizing large numbers of... well... numbers

U.S. is better because we get to claim both 3/14 and 7/22 (claiming it as the inverse of the approximation of pi ).
And TsukasaZX, I'm not insane, I'm just crazy and have no social life.
