It looks like Kerms "virtual world" and "saved" predictions have come true. I found this episode rather good, and it did surprise me in a couple aspects, (the Doctor has a name!)

Yup, I greatly enjoyed this episode as well. I was surprised by the revelation of the meaning of Forests of the Dead, but other than that it was mostly as I expected with a few details fleshed out. I was very impressed with how Moffat portrayed the consciousnesses inside CAL. Discuss?

No no, it makes sense. I think it might give some kind of power over him; remember the "power of a name" in 3x02, The Shakespeare Code? I think that it's not just a secret, it's that he can't tell anyone his name unless he trusts them absolutely because knowing his true name gives power over him.

Oh yeah, the Face of Boe did that too, good point. But if you think back, he didn't seem to think it terribly odd that either of those two could message his psychic paper, which makes me think that's less challenging.
hmm, that is true. i hope more is revealed this season and we don't have to wait to find out about professor riversong, but i think that is unlikely.

I think you're probably right that we'll need to wait a while to find out about her, but I suspect that the Doctor's name is going to be an arc for this season, so we might get some more developments in that direction.

unfortunately the same is probably true of Jenny 
as for the Doctor's name, I don't feel there have been enough references to it to be considered an arc.....its the bee's disappearing thing. that's been brought up too many times to be just casual discussion.

Yeah, I heard Billie Piper's singing career hadn't been doing so well, so a reappearance of a certain Miss Tyler is quite possible.
Well, at least now we (maybe) know what the Ood meant about "soon your Song will end". I think the bees thing might just be something to throw us off; it seems too obvious to be an arc to me.
