det(73) is slower than usual

Typically, det(73), which is Celtic CE's version of getKey, is extremely quick and responsive. However, it got significantly slower recently. This has happened before, and whatever the cause is, it affects Portal as well. What's going on, and how can I fix it?

I don't use celtic, so I'm not sure why it affects portal. I would try maybe reinstalling portal and celtic?
