.8xv files work but not .8xp or .8xk I tried https://ticalc.link/ and it was able to send the files to my calc un like I Connect CE App for chrome but they would not run my calc it is version is 5.0.1.12 any help? This is my first post if I am in the wrong spot please tell me.
Welcome! .8xk files are Apps for the TI-83 Plus and TI-84 Plus family with black-and-white screens, and don't work on color-screen TI-84 Plus CE calculators.

You should also update to OS 5.3 or 5.4, it will make running programs much better (and safer).
How would I get the ROM needed is it just on ti"s website? Also thanks for the help so far
Ok so I found it this https://education.ti.com/en/forms/protected_download_request_form would I chose ti-84 plus because they don't have one for the CE?

Go to this website: https://education.ti.com/en/software/search
Use the dropdown menus to select your model of calculator. You can select the type of software as you will find the Ti Connect Software for your Desktop (Windows/Mac), the Operating System with pre-installed apps (or just by itself), and the whole library of Ti made Apps for the device (these are pre-intalled when you use the pre-installed version of the OS). Download the OS and make sure you have the Ti Connect CE software. Install the connect software on your computer and installing the OS is as easy as right clicking on your calculator once the app is installed and you've connected it to your PC via the USB cable and choosing to install OS. You select the OS file whereever you downloaded it to and you're done, the software and calculator will do the rest.
Select your calculator model from the dropdown and select all from the second one.
You want this OS and make sure you have the Connect Software for your PC as well.

So how can I get a version that is not 5.81 because I don't wont to jail break my calc? Could someone like send the ROM?
TI-Planet's download section has copies of CE OSes.
It's worth noting that OS files are not the same things as ROMs. ROMs contain a copy of the OS (which is legal to distribute and can be found on TI's website) plus the boot code (which is not). You need a full ROM in order to use an emulator, but you can't send a ROM to a physical calculator without hardware modifications.

You can find 5.4 here: https://tiplanet.org/forum/archives_voir.php?id=2236017
And other versions here: https://tiplanet.org/forum/archives_list.php?cat=OS+ce
Happy tinkering.
If the file is in a language other than basic or a non trusted app, Connect Ce will not allow it to be transfered, basically any really high graphic or full screen video game won't work, and neither will the jail breaks, but if you use a computer other than a chrome book it should work so ya, on the Chromebook you can transfer basic games but no cool graphics, as you will need a different computer.
Try following the instructions here to fix transferring assembly programs.
If you’re looking for calculator shells, I recommend CEaShell.
