So I’m quite new to cemetech, please tell me if this is not the right place to post this kind of topic.
Anyways, i saw on amazon that there are some upgraded batteries for ti calculators. The ti-84 plus CE battery has 1200mah capacity, but there are some that have 1300, 1500, 1600, 2000, etc. I saw a 3200mah one but it’s out of stock now. Is anybody using those batteries? Are they good/worth it? If anybody knows things about them (or has one maybe?) then let me know. I’m considering buying one. I’ll leave a link for one of them.

Thanks guys!
I'm always skeptical about the capacity of aftermarket rechargeable batteries from eBay or Amazon; my experience is that many companies will slap some fantastic value on them that bears no relation to reality (especially with aftermarket laptop batteries). There's only so much energy density you can fit into the form factor of a TI-84 Plus CE's battery, so I'd expect to not get any more battery life than from the OEM battery, and probably less.

Theoretically couldn’t you be able to test the capacitance of batteries, I don’t know much about them, but is there a way/ device that would measure the capacitance of a battery? You could probably just put load on it and measure it and see how long it takes? Or maybe not. Also, would using one of those batteries affect the warranty, or just cause any other problems with the calculator?
You could do a simple test where you charge the stock battery all the way, start a timer, then run infinite benchmark on the calculator until it dies. Then do the same with the third party battery.
The only concern is if the third party battery is made so cheaply that it catches fire. I wouldn't really expect that to happen though if the product is decently reviewed though.
Just be aware that even on full screen brightness the TI-84 Plus CE will last over 24 hours. I'd recommend setting up a camera so you can record exactly when it dies.

In that case, couldn't you simply report the product for being a safety hazard for (almost) catching your house on fire?

Maybe yes, but people could say that you were using it irresponsibly, because constantly draining the battery until it dies isn’t that responsible (I guess)? Or maybe there’s like fine text or a terms of use kind of thing that says something like “don’t discharge the battery forever”
idk
