How do I type and compile a program so I can send it to my calculator like I can with the ones I have downloaded from ticalc.org?
Do you mean Assembly programs?
Basic programs are entered on your calculator, or you could use Source Coder 2

Are you sure you are in the right section of the forum? There is no compiling of TI-Basic -- it is a high-level programming language. I'm thinking you meant to start this topic in the Assembly section.
I doubt it; if he knew what assembly programs are, he wouldn't have asked this question.
And to answer your question jess, use TI-Connect to transfer programs from your computer to your calculator (I'm assuming you have a PC -> Calc cable, like a silver link or a Mini-USB cable for newer calcs)

I guess I should be more specific of what I want to do. I typed out a program on my calculator that symplifies radical expressions. I want to be able to have it on the computer with a "83p" extension so that I can use TI Connect to move it to multiple calculators without having to retype it on each calculator separately.
i assume you are talking about basic, you could upload it to your comp using a cable, then download it using a cable, that is the only way to do it, other than a calc to calc transfer though a cable.
Use TI-Connect to transfer it to your computer, then just rename it as a .83p. Note that you can't "convert" to 86, 89, 73, etc formats from 83/84 formats.
Thanks for the help. I backed up my calculator and dragged the program I wanted to the desktop from the backup folder. I seems so obvious now!
