Because they had a complete database crash and no current backup. Looks like they were able to rescue everything though.
lol...thats why I keep a complete copy of my forum on my home computer and copy the database over every few days.

well tr1p1ea said nothing of the files were lost, just the accounts are screwed up. it seems to be back now (the files) but forums gives a PHPBB critical error
Now they've restored the database too. Hope they didn't lose too many posts though...
