Thanks! I'll give it a try.
Are you all talking about VYSION 1 or the pre-release for 2?

I believe I downloaded the pre-release for VYSION 1. It's a really good shell. Until now, I have not seen any sort of bug in it.

I updated the OS, and while it works better, it still causes crashes.

VYSION 1. I posted it here because I couldn't find a topic specifically for it

Is there a way to make Vysion 1 or Vysion 2 an application or is it only possible to access it from another shell

That will be done before release, I pretty much have to now as both CEaShell and Cesium do.

For a bit I was like what, when did they crack the application signing key? But it looks like Cesium just makes a shortcut in the apps menu, to the program, for your convenience, it's not technically an app.
Will xLibCE ever get added?
what keys do you need t use like to e.g edit a file. i cant find it Very Happy

Probably not, the scope of the project is big enough already.

Should be in the README, but just press [mode] with the selection box over a file and the context menu will appear allowing you to take actions related to that file. Works for both VYSION 1 and 2.

As for the application signing key, that hasn't been figured out. But, people have figured out how to install apps on the calculator given an installation program, which allows app-specific tricks like fancy hooks. Cesium is the first one that I know of to use this, and CEaShell and Celtic CE are a couple of others to take advantage of it. There are even some neat app tools in the toolchain now to make this easy to do, which is what I plan on using to make VYSION 2 an app eventually.

I've made some minor changes today:
[added] file deletion
[added] folder deletion
[added] deletion confirmation prompt
[fixed] some cursor display bugs
Deletion took longer than I expected to get working, because I needed to account for nested folders and files in these folders, but it seems fairly functional now.

Feature request: add support for USB drives like in Cesium.
Noted, a few people have brought this up already. I'm not actively working on this project currently, as it turns it I actually have to do work sometimes as a college student. But when I have time, the next few things on my mind are:
- rewrite filesystem + file handling things
- make automated desktop layout creation thing (mostly for my convenience)
- do some fun things (nice graphics and whatnot)
- make it an app
- make OPTIX into a freestanding graphics library

I'd be very disappointed in myself if I didn't get this project done after all this time, so rest assured that I'll be working on it again as soon as I'm able.

Yess! My main annoyance with VYSION is that I have to run it through Cesium. I’m so excited for the next update!

Some bug fixes to add to your todo list:
- In About, you can’t scroll when the Cursor navigation mode is selected.
- The trace/alpha key tooltips display horizontal arrows even in a vertical scrolling area (i.e. File explorer).
- The hotspot (the point on any given cursor where the mouse clicks) on the Link Select (pointing hand) cursor is in the middle instead of on the fingertip.
- I wasn’t able to reproduce it, but I went to About earlier and help down the Clear key, and it crashed Vysion and gave me a bunch of “Insufficient memory” errors. I got them to go away by spamming the Enter key, but they reappeared (MUCH more this time) when I started Cesium again to try to get back into Vysion. I eventually gave up and turned off my calculator, only to find it wouldn’t turn on again! I thought I bricked my calculator (until I figured out Resetting it using a paperclip on the back of the calculator worked.) I’m not sure what exactly happened there, but thankfully I Archive most of my stuff, so I only lost a Program I was working on.
