Yes it's generally done by uploading to Imgur (better if you log in there, keeps images safer from deletion) and then using their direct link in the [img] bbcode on the forums.
As for MyCalcs, you have an edit button above your profile page's collection table. You can click that to make the table editable and click the cell from the photo column and there you can paste the link to your Imgur image.
For the whole collection picture you can set that in your account/profile settings page (see the top/menu bar)

Please consider shrinking the images. Unfortunately, the forum can't do it for you, you'll have to shrink each one individually.
