Hi fellows. I'm need some help. I have in my closet my Voyage 200, with no batteries for like 4 - 5 years. I wanted to give it to my nephew that need a graph calculator. But when I put in all new batteries (power and backup)... starts loading OS and at 80% aprox. give an Er_throw.

I tried:
1. 2nd + Shift + ON to restart but still try to load and fail.
2. Download SO from TI website to make a flash, but after plug in the cable my PC didn't recognize the device Sad

Can something be done? Or my V200 is gone :'(. Any help will be appreciated

Hey, edl, welcome to Cemetech.

It seems like the solution is to reset the memory of the calculator. It seems likely to me that (after all these years) program(s) stored in the memory of the calculator became corrupted. There are instructions available on TI’s website: https://education.ti.com/en/customer-support/knowledge-base/other-graphing/troubleshooting-messages-unexpected-results/12072

I do note- standardized tests here in the US at least do not permit using the Voyage 200 because of its QWERTY keyboard. It is probably worth getting your nephew a calculator that is permitted on these exams so that he is used to using it if and when he has to take them.
Hello. Thank you, I tried that already and didn't work. But find something else while searching on TI website. Popout battery while holding apps button brings the calculator to bios and now is detected by the TI Connect software, tried to send the os file but fails at 25% and gives an "ADDRESS ERROR".

Someone suggested me to try again after a couple of days with no batteries.

About the voyage 200 for tests, I will look into it. Thank you very much.
