I would definitely play Pokemon after 10+ year hiatus if a game like this came out.
Seems pretty awesome
:(
I found a bunch of cool battle animations from X/Y, including this cutey:
Here's all.
I would love to be able to just download those as a .zip.. o.o
Edit:

You've not been following Twitch Plays Pokemon then?
http://cheezburger.com/8075824128 With the current things going on for Twitch Plays Pokemon, this is amusing.
This *isn't* TPP related, but also hilarious.
What happens when a pokemon trainer dies in the wilderness.

are those from the actual game? if so, it's interesting to see that they actually put money into the game's art department after being lazy the last few generations, considering how much money the games still somehow rake in
The games graphics have been progressively getting better and better with each generation. There are a couple on X and Y that are still rather dumb looking, but overall, they look pretty awesome now.

gen 3
gen 4
gen 5
gen 4 were mostly just scale-up and slightly edited for most sprites (only because of the larger screen size, and two screens at that), gen 5 sprites were of no higher quality than previous gens, they just used an alternative sketch. In fact it's almost impossible to tell the difference between generations with smaller-sized pokemen. Hence why I'm impressed that they spent more than the measly amount they spent in previous generations, the pokemon series has been basically riding on its laurels since generation 3.
